My name is Clyde Ching. I’m no scholar, or famous Theologian. Just a Theologian who studies the bible and try my best to not only learn, but to do. I have something to share with my brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ.

Jesus American Christianity and The Dudicals.

I may never have the privilege to ride in Jesus’ Army when he comes down from heaven, but I have enlisted in his army here on earth.

I was born and grew up in Hawaii. I started going to church at a very young age and left church when I was 10 years old. As I grew older, I went to college and had good jobs, only to quit them to get involved in big wave surfing. How many times in my life I could have died and be lost forever. By the grace and mercy of God, at 26 years of age I was born again. The fear and the power of God made me realize I am nothing without him. God took me from Hawaii and I moved to Huntington Beach, California to start a new life and a career in aerospace. Still searching and finding the way, I started going to Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa (CCCM), the Jesus Revolution Church in 1981. With the help of Pastor Chuck Smith and many Godly people, my foundation on the rock began to grow.

I started volunteering in the Thursday night, second grade Children’s Ministry. Working with children was an eye opening, amazing experience. Comparing then to now, it appears that the need to know Jesus is even stronger in our youth. There are so many challenges and struggles in this day and age of social media as it pertains to our younger generations. We need to open the bible more and get strong in Jesus. This is true for all Christians.

In 1982, I had plans to serve in Tijuana and Ensenada, Baja Mexico with some friends for Jesus. Helping orphanages and families in need with bibles, food and clothing. Then go surfing, eat fish tacos and enjoy serving this way. But God had other plans. A missionary friend mentioned that Mexicali is a less visited area and there is great need there. Mexicali is on the north east tip of Baja Mexico, in the desert, close to Yuma, Arizona. We decided to forget the surfing and fish tacos; Jesus was telling us we need to go to Mexicali. We did that for a year. During that time I also met my bride Geri at a CCCM young adult beach fellowship in Corona Del Mar, California in June 1983.

Geri and I were married in November, 1983. We started a family and our daughter was born in 1985. This was followed by the birth of our son who was born in 1988. In 1990 we moved to Rancho Santa Margarita, California and attended Foothills Evangelical Free Church for several years. In 1999 we chose Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California as our new home church. Our kids were really happy and loved what Saddleback Church had to offer in their age groups.

Knowing my love for children, God had used me to help and influence them in a positive way. During this journey, I have had many blessings from the kids and their parents. They have thanked me and expressed how much their kids have been influenced in a positive way.

In the early 90’s, I started a non profit organization called Kids In Community Service (KICS). Through KICS, kids learned to help their community by raising funds and giving back. I also started a Dudical Task Force in one school that had the same idea and goal of raising funds through organizations and learning how to give back to help others in need. Both were a success and have been called to get more wins for Jesus.

In June 2020 Geri and I moved to North Texas. And within a year started attending Rock Creek Church in Prosper, Texas. It is here, in Texas, where my desire to serve became strong again. I wanted God to use me where he sees fit because he knows that I have the love and a gift he gave me for helping his children. So God has me volunteering in the Children’s Ministry, Student Ministry, Vacation Bible School, summer camp and more to come. God spoke to me and said, if you want to be a good steward of bigger things for the kingdom, you must prove you can do the little things. All I do now doesn’t seem little, but for God’s Kingdom there is a lot more to do.

God’s plan for me to move to Texas has a purpose, in November 2020, Jesus told me to write a children’s book on a story I wrote 30 years prior. I finished that book called Adventures of The Dudicals in August 2022. I was getting ready to promote the book and Jesus took me on another path to start Jesus American Christianity. The goal is to bring back the lost sheep and prevent the lambs from becoming lost. Now both the Dudical concept and JAC are on the same vine intertwined. Jesus is telling me go do and I must be faithful. I hope JAC and Dudicals bears much fruit for God, helping populate his heaven.
